Saffron's room, for the most part, remains exactly the same as when she'd been in it last - apart from a few newly acquired trophies (paid for by a portion of the sum her job with Ben Wade had gotten her).

She takes a moment to arrange for some food and wine to be sent up in about an hour or so, then proceeds to make herself comfortable in the sitting area - removing her boots, pulling out the pin that holds the majority of her red curls up and away from her neck, and stretching out on one of the luxuriously stuffed couches.

"Is there anything I can get you two?" she asks, rolling over onto her stomach, her feet dangling in the air as she sizes up the two men.

"I think we're already getting the best there is," Urquhart says, smiling down at her before sitting beside her.

Moist takes off his jacket and hangs it on the back of a chair before settling himself on her other side,

"I'd have to agree with Urquhart, this is wonderful and you've made quite a luxurious spot for yourself.

She glances from the jacket to Moist, gently biting her lower lip in thought.

"I think you might be the one to rumple most when it comes to blending in."

Urquhart isn't all that sleek to start with. He's utilitarian in a medieval way.

He leans over to kiss Saffron, softly.

He moves his hands up Saffron's sides and grins,

"I'm good at looking respectable, but that's just a prop."

She doesn't respond right away, swinging her legs over the side of the couch to return Urquhart's kiss with equal fervor.

"Still, I think we'll have to lose that jacket. It's a dead giveaway."

"I guess people don't do respectable in your world, Saffron?" Urquhart suggests, kissing her again.

"It can be lost, I'll just need to do a little mending so I can have some things available. Would a mismatched and worn out jacket work better or no jacket at all?"

This is the part of his game he always finds fascinating, figuring out what works where. Though he does kick off his shoes and stretch out so that she'll end up almost sitting on him.

"My planet is full of disreputable types," she murmurs, reaching out for Moist and pulling him in by a finger snaking through his belt loop.

"But when we find our mark, the appearance of wealth and confidence is everything. Then, we'll need jackets."

She tugs him close to kiss him, licking into his mouth.

Urquhart leans in and kisses the side of her neck, as she is stretching away from him to kiss Moist.

"I guess your world's standards for wealthy-looking jackets are different from his, or mine," he says, lips moving against her skin.

Making nefarious plans while getting close and personal is fun. The rivalry with Moist even adds to the challenge, and the fun.

Urquhart does like an edge to things.

He lets himself be pulled towards her and kisses back, nipping at her lips,

"Course they would be."

"And even in my 'verse, no two worlds are alike."

She rewards Urquhart by wriggling back into his lap with a slow roll of hips. Moist receives another kiss, this one teasing and nipping while she settles.

"Saffron knows what she's doing," Urquhart murmurs, against her skin, kissing his way down the side of her neck, and over her collarbones.

Moist leans forward, his hands on Saffron's hips as he kisses her back,

"I know she does just as I do. We're the tricksters aren't we, my dear, changing names as easily as we change clothes?"

"Maybe even more easily," she whispers against his mouth, pressing back into Urquhart with a deliberate swivel, her hand sliding down to squeeze his knee.

"I only lie as much as I have to," Urquhart admits, his long hair sliding between her breasts. "I can't mess up things I don't need to remember."

Moist laughs against her lips and moves one hand up her side to caress her breast as the other reaches out to squeeze first her hip and then Urq's knee,

"That makes you so reliable, Urquhart."

She releases another pleased shiver, turning to press her lips against Urquhart's jawline, then the column of his throat, nudging aside his long hair to do so, arching her back to thrust her chest forward toward Moist's hands.

"You, my xiōngcán shāshŏu*, will be the brute strength of the operation."


*ruthless killer

Urquhart tilts his head a little, to allow her better access, and sighs contentedly.

"Any operation needs that," he says. "Just so you know you can, if you need to."

His skills aren't just brute. They can be stealthy, sneaky, or eerily silent. But always to do with maiming and killing.

She is speaking Chinese. When she does that, she's pleased.

"A deadly reserve,"

His hand moves over her breast, finding all those spots that she likes as he kisses up her neck.

She leans back on Urquhart, using the impressive width of his chest for support, her fingertips lightly caressing his cheekbone as she turns her head, unconsciously exposing more of her neck to Moist's lips.

One strap of her dress slowly slides down her shoulder.

"But perhaps a necessary one."

Urquhart bends to kiss her skin where the strap has slid down, his hand gliding towards her hip.

"If all I do," he says, "is carry the heaviest bags when we make our escape, it's all for the best. But if you need me, and I'll be there right where you need me, that's almost as good."

As her dress falls, Moist gently tweaks and circles her nipple as he nips her ear,

"You do know how to inspire such dedication, Saffron."

Her dress halts in its descent, resting on curved hips, and she does her best to press simultaneously into tweaking fingers and teasing lips.

"Years of practice."

From her hips, Urquhart's hand wanders down to her knee. From there, it slowly wanders up again, on the inside of her thigh.

"We, however," he murmurs, against her neck, "are on your side anyway."
